What’s new at Saurashtra University?

Situated in Rajkot, Saurashtra University was established in the year 1967 and is accredited with NAAC at the 'A' level and approved by the UGC. The Saurashtra University is built across an area of 363 acres consisting of the facilities such as a central university, boys hostel, computer center, girls hostel, health center, international student cell, placement cell, women fitness, UPSC coaching center, sports complex, and so on. The Saurashtra University library, which started with 3200 books in 1967-68, now contains over 216130 books. The districts of Amreli, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar, and Morbi are currently within the University's jurisdiction. On its campus, it has 29 postgraduate departments, and 238 colleges connected with it. Saurashtra University also conducts youth festivals and cultural events including job fairs, e-Tab distribution fairs, the Ranji Trophy tournament, the Pro Kabaddi League, the Saurashtra Premier League (SPL), inter-university competitions, etc.

Saurashtra University is built across an area of 363 acres and it offers the facilities to the students within the campus. Some of the facilities that are offered to the students include a central university, boys' hostel, computer center, girls hostel, health center, international student cell, placement cell, women's fitness, UPSC coaching center, sports complex, and so on. The Saurashtra University library, which started with 3200 books in 1967-68, now contains over 216130 books.
There are various types of hostels provided to students at Saurashtra University. The hostel can accommodate 96 guests. A separate room for every pupil. Tables, chairs, coat hangers, tube lights, ceiling fans, and cupboards are provided in the rooms.
The Four Girls Hostels at Saurashtra University also have all the latest amenities. The environment in the hostel is quite hygienic for the female students. With a capacity of 36 rooms, the Ganga Girls hostel can accommodate 83 students, with 30 double-occupancy rooms, 5 triple-occupancy rooms, and 1 standard room with 8 occupancies. Saraswati Girls Hostel includes 32 rooms, each of which can accommodate two students. The Saraswati Females Hostel can accommodate a maximum of 64 girls in this manner.
Saurashtra University hostels provide various facilities to the students including solar water heater, RO plant for drinking water with a water cooler system, wi-fi enabled, coup-board, table, chair & coat with mattress in each room, compound wall, well maintain plants, trees, and garden, full-time security guard.
